twenty-two

So by letting Carmelo Anthony off the hook, are you saying you advocate drinking and driving B Shea? Since he said he was sorry it's ok? What if he got into an accident and killed somebody B Shea? If he said sorry would you still want him on the court in the playoffs a week later B Shea?

Other than B Shea supporting drinking and driving, baseball had an epic story last night. The Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres played twenty-two innings. The game was tied for 9th for the longest game in history, along with the longest since 1993. The longest game in MLB history was in 1984 when Chicago and Milwakee went twenty-five innings. Since both teams have to travel and play the next night, should baseball enstill a new extra innings policy? My side of the issue is no. It's something that has been around since the start of baseball and the rare twenty plus game is so rare that it doesn't need change. Coaching is generally overrated in baseball because of the long season, but in games like this it is very fun to see how they do. Lucky for the fans the teams combined for a .170 batting average while only putting up three runs. They were cursed however in the bottom of the 14th when Josh Bard singled in the game tying run, to even the score at one to one. I had a great time watching parts of the game however. Like most baseball fans we know extra innings can be as fun as any overtime in any sport, especially in the NL were pitchers have to bat. I hope that we get more pitching gems and see this more often because extra inning games are fun. My bold prediction is that Colorado goes into Cinncinatti and wins and San Diego goes into Arizona and wins.
