Ob La Da Brother

B Shea, come on... The Lakers Celtics is a bigger rivalry than the RedSox Yankees. Is that some sort of joke? They play each other twice a year, and haven't met in the playoffs in 21 years. The Rivalry is as dead as OJ Simpsons credibility. And what is this "various thoughts" thing you do now. If your going to think, at least try and sound like an adult. Nice prediction about the Spurs. I mean, they went out and died quicker than, Jeremy Gonzalez. I know it may be a little soon but it was the best metaphor i could come up with. Expect Colon to fizzle down the stretch like bad keg beer. Stop crying about fingernails too. Clay Buckholtz is missing one so your insensitive comments could be offending him. That's really it for your comments this week. You were so wrong.

B Shea predicts seven games for the NBA finals between Boston and LA and as usuall I am going to disagree and bring some sense to this blog. Boston wins the NBA title in six games. Detroit posed the greatest threat to Boston and they rose up and overcome. LA is so surprising because I don't understand how they made it this far. Pau Gasol is a great player but he's no Shaq. Kobe is playing like a God right now and thats all they have going for them. The Lakers had the 19th best defense in basketball with the best offense. Boston had the best defense in basketball with the 10th best offense. Something is going to give, and I can't see it helping LA. Every matchup offsets the other in this series. Perkins and Garnett will get theirs, but so will Gasol and Odom. The young Rondo will have a much easier task of guarding Fisher as opposed to Chauncey Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Billups. Kobe Bryant vs Ray Allen should be interesting. Both are known for shooting rather than defense, but with help Ray Allen won't be giving up anymore than 30 a game to Bryant. The match up that Boston will be able to expose is Paul Pierce over Vladimir Radmanovic. The overpaid Russian had a decent season getting eight points and three boards a game, but that isn't going to cut it in the finals. Why I think Boston will win in six, at the most is because of the bench. Eddie House will be able to run the point because of LA's weak defense, giving up energy and points from the bench. Posey, Brown, Powe, Davis, and maybe even Cassell will see playing time. Comming off the bench for LA will be Luke Walton, Jordan Farmar, and Ronnie ( my heart hurts ) Turiaf. These guys couldn't intiminate a girls high school team, let alone the team with the best record in basketball, along with the best record against the West.

As for tonight, since I started my "lock of the day" I am 3-1. I need to bump this up by making two big locks for tonight. I like the Orioles (+114) with Garrett Olson on the mound to beat the Redsox and I also like the Geogia Force (-4.5) to beat the Tampa Bay Storm in some exciting Areana football.

ps, my Turiaf joke was funny...
